The Paths of the Dream

We all dream even if we don't remember our dreams... and we are always dreaming – even while awake. Dreaming is a fundamental element of life for human beings and is vital for spiritual growth and self-awareness. For many, the Inner Sense of Dreaming lays dormant, out of reach in the waking world, but there is a way to awaken it. Once awake, this Inner Sense can be trained so we can actively participate in different realities happening simultaneously.

The Paths of the Dream is taught on three different levels. Here you will explore the magical dimension of the dream, rather than the psychological or psychoanalytical one. The first course is also about learning to intepret the dream on a personal level, using a system based on free association and a series of other tools based on numbers, colours, repeated words, anagrams and mantras. The most original technique used, developed at Damanhur, will open psychic patterns that support the passage to different levels of dreaming. These are based on dream signs: archetypal signs that are known and understood by the unconscious mind. Traced as patterns, these signs clear our internal channels and open new ways of thinking within us. In the first level course of The Paths of the Dream you will receive five such patterns.

You will find that dreams change form with the use of the first five patterns. In the second level course, another two patterns are added to aid in the interpretation of these new, elaborated dreams.

The third level of the Paths of the Dream relates specifically to dreaming as an Inner Sense, with exercises aimed at creating an inner organ. With this it is possible to move differently in the Dream world, guiding one's actions so as to be consciously acting in other realms.
